Dear All

Happy New Gardening Year to you all. I hope you all enjoyed the festive period and are raring to go on the winter tasks when it thaws out!!

Congratulations to Frances, Clare and Heather for the magnificent Christmas Tree they decorated for the St Martin’s Christmas Tree Festival ( if you didn’t get a chance to visit St Martin’s please see below).

It was admired by all and was a perfect finale to our Centenary year.

Now back to the routine for this year! Our first talk will be held on Wednesday 28th January at 7.30 in the West Horsley Village Hall. It is entitled ‘Trees and shrubs for our changing climate’ and will be given by Pamela Holt. Pamela has a wide experience of teaching Horticulture and Arboriculture and worked for two years inspecting, surveying and maintaining trees for organisations around England. Her talk is in response to the committee’s interest in the impact of climate change on the trees and shrubs we have and what we should be growing. We look forward to welcoming you all to the event.
